Information we collect

This site uses Cloudflare Analytics (when enabled) to collect anonymous visit statistics — aggregated data such as pages visited, referrers, and approximate region.

We do not collect personally identifiable information (such as name, email address, or phone number).

This site also collects anonymous events through its own self-hosted mechanism, used to understand content interest and improve coverage (see “Self-hosted event collection” below).

Self-hosted event collection

This site uses its own self-hosted anonymous event collection (not third-party tracking), solely to understand content interest and improve coverage.

This mechanism does not collect personally identifiable information, does not use cookies, and does not store your raw IP address — only an irreversible salted hash.

Collected data is limited to: event type, timestamp, hashed IP, a truncated browser User-Agent, and the page path; article titles and links are never collected.

Data is stored in Cloudflare R2 and automatically deleted after ~90 days per lifecycle rules.

This complements (does not replace) Cloudflare Web Analytics, our platform-level anonymous aggregate statistics.

Cookies

No third-party tracking cookies are currently used.

Search runs entirely in your browser against a local Pagefind index; no data leaves your device.

Third-party services

This site is hosted on Cloudflare (global edge network); requests pass through Cloudflare’s edge nodes worldwide.

Search uses a local Pagefind index — no data is transmitted off-site.
